Leaving Otis Maine and headed towards Derby Line VT
We say our last goodbyes to My dad, his girlfriend Wanda and my sister Katherine. Destination is Derby Line VT about 240 miles east. We pulled out of Otis Maine by 9 am getting fuel for the truck, and fuel for us. Breakfast sandwiches never tasted so good! Our trip to VT was very hilly! We took the back way (something we do often in the future) and it put us behind about an hour or more at this point. The views were amazing. At this point we’re still working on dealing with 4 animals in a truck, while towing our house while snapping pictures and video! We did stop about half way at a lake. Steve put the drone up in the air but forgot to put in the memory card to record. Bummer 🙁 I also took the time to clean up the items that have fallen over from the hills and bumpy roads! Still finding our routine on where to put things. We’ll get there.
We arrived about two hours behind.
My aunt Sandy joined us as well. Sitting down to an early Thanksgiving dinner of chicken casserole, squash, mashed potatoes etc. So far we’re eating like royalty! Steve and I took showers at my grandparents house, fed and walked the dogs. For the rest of the night we relaxed. Surprisingly enough travel like this can wear on you. Being cooped up in a truck with 4 animals, towing your home and stressing about what might fall over and/or break can get to you.
Day three in the books. Tomorrow we venture into Canada for the first time to grab lunch!
