Composting toilets still seem to be taboo. While for the general masses its understandable, I’m still curious as to why they aren’t used more often. We decided to get one for multiple reasons.
- Won’t need the black tank
- Less water consumption
- The ability to go anywhere, anytime
- Because, Composting Toilet
We ordered ours from C-HEAD out of Florida. It cost us $639 and arrived about a week after ordering. It was more or less all put together and shipped well. You can tell it is a small, one man shop/show as our toilet arrived in a Home Depot box. That aside it was packaged very well and didn’t suffer and damage in transit.
After we get some seat time for a few weeks, we’ll break out the camera and write up our review. It will be honest, and graphic. We all poop right? No sense be ashamed of it.
After receiving it we went about finding a medium to use. When using this kind of composting toilet you need something to absorb, and help start the breaking down or “Composting effect” of your poop. We chose to use Coco Coir. Its more or less Coconut fibers ground down. After we get some seat time for a few weeks, we’ll break out the camera and write up our review. It will be honest, and graphic. We all poop right? No sense be ashamed of it. Stay tuned for that Review, and head on over to our YouTube page and see what else we’ve done or are up to.
